MONACO
The Monaco Group of Companies were set up in 2002 to develop high quality Commercial and Residential Properties in the South East. The principle Barry Monaghan had been Regional Director of McInerney Homes for the South East in the 1990’s . He was keen to develop a range of Office developments, Business and Retail Parks , Healthcare and Hospitality assets in the Region and not merely Housing .
Focusing exclusively on the best locations in Carlow, Kilkenny and Waterford , Monaco developed a number of high quality different Mixed use schemes which were lacking in these Regional locations.
These Monaco schemes were chosen as their perfect Regional base by Unum Inc, Bank of Ireland, EY, Permanent TSB, HSE , Failte Ireland, Morgan McKinley, SRAM Corporation , Currys PC World , The Range, Sam McAuleys, Eddie Rocketts, Sue Ryder Foundation, Centric Healthcare, UPMC , Malcolmson Law, Maxizoo , MABS , Waterfordd Crystal , Delaval, Arkopharma SA , Supermacs, IBEC , Bolands Garages and many more.
The common thread through all Monaco projects were that they were built to the highest standards and are probably regarded as some of the best, if not the best, developments over the last twenty years in the South East. They were also set up with the very best of attention to future management and operation and Monaco personnel are still involved in many instances in the smooth running of these schemes post completion.
As more and more people now have the ability to work remotely for a considerable part of their working week for a better work/life balance , it is inevitable that more and more people will decide to base themselves in the “Sunny South East” where Monaco are exclusively based . Local populations are forecast to rise considerably with Waterford City in particular projected to rise by 50% under Project 2040. Furthermore ,as commerce adjusts to the new post Covid reality, Monaco is keen to continue to work with and listen to new potential partners interested in the South East and to provide the very best new Developments for a range of commercial and community users to operate from in Carlow, Kilkenny and Waterford .
